Nicola, by nature, is a very observant person and so takes much inspiration from her surroundings, leading her to have an overgrowing love for the natural world.
This is clearly evident within her work as she addresses environmental issues and explores the relationship between mother nature and mankind. She addresses and spreads the message of these issues through utilising her skills as a surface pattern designer and maker, transforming her designs into a range of items including cushions, wrapping paper, wallpaper and furnishings.
She achieves this by combining traditional hand drawn pieces with contemporary Digital techniques, generating awareness as well as thought-provoking designs and products. Through her designs she hopes to inspire people to be more loving of the world, of each other, life and of nature.
Nicola currently resides and works within Sheffield, in the United Kingdom, having just graduated with an upper second class honours from Leeds College of Arts, BA Hons Visual Communications Course. Since graduating her work has been published in the Computer Arts Magazine and featured on Creative Bloq.
